Joslyn's Big Day

Sunday was Joslyn's blessing day, she looked beautiful!

I had a "moment" when I was dressing her, it's difficult to describe, it was just special. So I can only imagine what I will be like 20 something years from now when I am helping her into her wedding gown, oh I want to cry thinking about it.

Sunday was also Valentines Day so why not celebrate this special day with everyone we love? After church we had a yummy dinner here at our house, it was so fun to have all of our family there.

10 years ago {{WOW}} on Valentines Day Nate proposed to me, so who would have known that 10 years later we would be blessing our baby girl on that same day.

I love my husband so much, he is my best friend, I am so grateful for all he does for our family. I am so blessed to have 4 beautiful, healthy children I love them with all my heart.

Oh, on another fun note, I woke up Sunday morning with my eye glued shut. The pink eye finally caught up to me, ugh! I was looking lovely let me tell ya.

Valentine Topiaries

Yesterday was a great day, and a first for Joslyn. She sat in the beauty chair...on my lap while I got my hair cut. I don't even remember the last time I got my hair cut, aaahhh! It feels good. After that I went and spent my b-day money at my favorite store, see that cute table runner? Then I came home and finished these cute topiaries. I found this fun idea on The Idea Room I couldn't believe how many felt circles it took to make these babies, WOW! I guess I should have believed them because I had to go back to the store for more felt and I still didn't have enough! So how do I have time to do all this with a new baby you ask? Well Braiden and Brody helped, they were actually very eager to help, it was a fun little project to do together. Braiden couldn't believe that even with the mountain of felt circles, we still had bare spots. (I decided that they were OK because they are on the bottom and gives them a flat place to sit on the candlesticks.) Love em!

Yup, That Pretty Much Sums It Up

This girl is getting some serious cheeks! They are so fun to kiss.

Check out her left hand...she's a natural. ;)

Aunt Karla threw us a baby shower a couple weekends ago, we had so much fun!! This is Joslyn all dressed up and ready to go to the party.

UGH! Mother are we done yet?

When she is in a certain mood she will give you a smile, yesterday morning at about 5:00 she was in that mood. :) Fun huh?!?!

We have been passing pink eye to and fro here at our house, luckily Joslyn & I have been missed...for now. :/

IT"S TRUE!!!

In case any of you ever wonder if your washing machine EATS socks.

It's TRUE

AAAHHH! I can't believe it, my washing machine must be really hungry because I found 16 socks here, that's 8 pairs of socks!!! All of those odd socks now have their mates. :)

I thought I got a glimpse of a sock so I pulled back the rubber gasket (which I have never done before...obviously) and that's what I found, I was dumbfounded.

It turns out that our washing machine prefers little tiny Hudson socks over big bulky daddy socks. What kind of socks does your washing machine prefer?

Soaking Up The Sun

3 days old

There has been a lot of this going on at our house these days. Finally after about a week the doctor finally decided that she was out of the "danger zone" and quit poking her little heel. Hurray for that! I think it is harder on mom than baby to go through that.

4 days old

Other than that I have been busy snuggling this sweet little one, there is absolutely nothing better in the whole wide world!

6 days old

I have been able to do all of this snuggling thanks to my mom who has totally pampered me, and to friends and neighbors who have stepped in and brought meals to our family so, THANK YOU!!

1 week old

And I cannot forget my awesome husband who has stepped in and taken over my duties while I am on the couch feeding the baby, or if I just want/need to sleep for 30 more min. ;) Thank you, thank you!

2 weeks old (yesterday)

The boys love their little sis, even Hudson is OK with her. He has even started to call her by name, it is pretty cute. Occasionally he says, "baby, sit!" and points to the couch, this is usually when he needs me to get something for him. But just as often he says, "hold you, baby" so he can give her loves. I was so worried about how he would handle having a baby around, but so far, so good!

I just want to tell a little story, if nothing else-to prove that I am an absolute BASKET CASE after having a baby, but it was a very sweet moment for me. They had taken the baby out of the room to wash her up and when they brought her back in and I saw her with a little pink bow in her hair I cried (OK I sobbed) "OOOOH she has a bow in her hair!" It still brings tears to my eyes!

WOW- they change a lot in 2 weeks!

She's Here!!!

Meet our sweet little Joslyn Alea:

Born on Monday January 4 at 3:09 p.m.

Weighing 7 lbs 7 oz
20 inches long

I went to my Dr appointment and the Dr asked me what I was doing that day. I told him that I would like to go to the hospital and have this baby. He said let me make a phone call. He came back and said head on over! So I called Nate and he had his patients rescheduled.

They started the pitocin at 11:45 and told me that the anesthesiologist would be there by 12:30 to give the epidural Dr came in at 12:15 and broke my water. 12:30 came and went...no epidural. To make a long story short, the anestheiologist was stuck in a surgery and I think I finally got the epidural at 2:00. I say "I think" because I got a shot of pain meds through the IV and it made me a little loopy. Once I finally got the epidural things went great. Just before 3 the nurse called the Dr and he came a runnin. Pushed through 2 contractions and she was here! She is my smallest baby so recovery has been great! Here are a few fun pics of her:

He's Two

Look Who's Two...

Sweet baby!

Sweet Boy!

Birthday Cake!

Who needs birthday cake when you have a Mickey Mouse juice box?

Bowling

I don't know who was more excited about this toy, him or his brothers. Now they won't have to use rolls of paper towels as bowling pins. ;)

Happy Birthday Hudson!!!

Christmas 2009

We went out to Grandma and Grandpa M's for a little bit on Christmas Eve. We played some games and had yummy food.

Here are the boys opening their Christmas jammies.

Back at home we baked some cookies for santa and layed out the stockings. Have they been good enough???

They must have been.

Santa and Mrs Clause pulled a LATE night at the Catmull house.

Luckily our kids are still young enough that they still sleep in on Christmas morning.

Let's Rewind a Little

Here are some fun pictures of a few of our December activities. In keeping with tradition we went to the mountains to cut down a Christmas tree. This is what we did while dad and grandpa went trudging through the wilderness to find the perfect trees.

We let them have some fun too.

Santa visited the Catmull Christmas party:

Hudson was a little leery of the Jolly Old Elf.

Braiden says, just bring me whatever you want. Don't let him fool you though, he has a list a mile long at home. ;)

Brody knows exactly what he wants.
