I found this in a magazine:
There will be bigger hallways and bigger kids.
There will be new sounds, new friends and new teachers
Whose names will sound scary at first.
He'll line up, look back and file inside and at that moment
You'll realize this is your first day of school too.

Braiden's First Day of First Grade!!
Braiden started school on Monday. His teachers name is Mrs. Betts when I asked him if he liked his teacher he said "Yeah, she's kinda cute" Oh boy here we go!! He had a good first day. He was a little worried that he wouldn't know where to go but he did just fine and he said that he didn't even need to ask for help. Braiden loves school he is excited to go each morning, he even thought it was pretty cool that he had homework last night, We'll see how long that lasts. :)
I think Brody really enjoys Braiden being in school he can do what ever he wants and there is no one there to pester him, and he gets me to himself (sort of.) I am enjoying the peace and quiet, of no fighting and wrestling. I do miss my little helper though and we are all excited to see him get off the bus in the afternoon.
Brody will start preschool next wednesday it will be just two days a week but I think he will enjoy doing something "big" like going to school.

Kristy's tag.....finally
Kristy tagged me months ago with this, so here it goes.
What were you doing 10 years ago? Getting ready to start my senior year of high school. (holy cow! it's been that long already?)
5 things on my to do list. 1. Laundry 2. Practice the piano 3. find some new school shoes for Braiden 4. Go grocery shopping 5. Do something fun with the kids (I told them we would do something fun today.
What snacks do I enjoy? Double Stuffed Oreos, I really like the minty oreos these days, either ones will do though.
What would I do if I were suddenly a billionaire? Pay off student loans, after that I might have enough left over to buy myself a new dress or something. :) that's what it feels like anyway.
Name 3 bad habits. Jeez! only 3 hmmmm... 1. Staying up too late. 2. checking my blog too much. 3. letting the laundry pile up.
Name 5 places I have lived. 1. Omaha, NE (3 years) 2. Reston, VA (4 months) 3. Eden Prairie, MN (4 months) 4. Pocatello, ID (9 months) 5.Rexburg, ID (4 years) grew up in Rupert, Id (oops I guess that's 6)
5 jobs I have had. 1. Growing up I moved wheel lines for my dad I hated it at the time, but I look back now and it was the best job I ever had. It taught me how to work, and I got to spend alot of time with my dad. 2. I delivered flowers for Nancy's Rupert Floral the summer before I got married, It was suppose to be an internship for my degree, hmmm some internship!!! 3. Sherry's Floral in Rexburg, hey at least at that one I got to arrange the flowers and not just deliver them. 4. I worked at Zaney Brainey (a kids toy store) when we lived in VA. (I needed something to do) 5. Full-time mom.
5 things most people don't know about me. UGH! I hate this question, I can never think of anything. 1. I broke my tail bone once. 2. I loved to dance 3. I am a clean freak. 4. I graduated from Ricks College with a degree in floral design. 5. I wish I would have done something more serious in school, floral design was fun but let be realistic here.
Now I am going to tag.....JOLISA, and anyone else who feels like filling this out.

Twin Falls Temple Open House
Saturday afternoon we had the opportunity to attend the Twin Falls Temple open house it was beautiful! I feel very excited and blessed that we have a temple close by. I tried to tell the boys how lucky they were to be able to go inside the temple, but I don't think they really got it. Hudson just took it all in he kept looking all around and staring at the beautiful chandeliers, it was fun to watch him. Braiden said his favorite part was the baptistry. When I asked Brody what his favorite part was he said, "the temple" so I guess he liked the whole thing. Tomorrow Nate and I are going to be ushers at the open house from about 1:00 until they close. I am nervous to leave the baby that long. He does take a bottle just fine but I have never left him that long before, so we will see how it goes.
Bye Bye Training Wheels!

Hudson is 7 months old!!!
Our little Hudson (who is not so little) learned how to sit up!
This is a great age!! They can sit up on their own and play with a toy but they are not mobile yet! I better enjoy it I guess because it won't last long I'm sure. Hudson is a sweet baby he loves to "play" with his big brothers, they adore him and they are so much help to me! Hudson is loving the camera these days he smiles from ear to ear when I have it out, how convenient!
Three silly boys!!
Redfish Lake
Every year the entire Catmull family heads up to Redfish Lake (near Stanley ID) for a week of relaxation. The kids enjoy playing in the sand making sand castles and such, while I enjoy sun bathing and a good book. The lake is gorgeous, the water is crystal clear and freezing cold. Every now and again it is fun to jump into the water just to get your adrenaline pumping. We have so much fun every year that we dread coming home. Uh well I guess all good things must come to an end.

My New Toy!!!
I am so excited about this. My Grandma promised me her piano a few years ago, and she said that I could take it any time I wanted. Well we finally moved close enough so I decided to move it over to my house. It is a good thing too because they have been asking me lately to sub in as the primary pianist, and I have a strange feeling that they want to make it permanent here before too long. So I have been practicing every spare moment I get, I haven't had a piano to practice on for 9 years so needless to say, I am a little rusty! I love my Grandma so much and I don't think that I could ever thank her enough for this incredible gift!!!
Here is a picture of the boys, they got to ride horses on Saturday they thought that was pretty fun.
Brody thinks he needs to pull a face in every picture so it seems like I can't ever get a decent picture of the kid. grrr!
Oh and just an update on "Our Little Visitor" After staying in our courtyard for about 2 weeks ducky finally left and went back down to the river (unless he is in someone else's courtyard :) ) We tried to take him down to the river after about five days only to have him return the next morning. So we just let him be, the last few days I noticed him venturing out more and more and then he was gone. Brody would chase it around trying to "pet" him and we would say "no, he has germs" so Brody would say "but I won't touch his mouth" I'm glad he is gone, He was quite an attraction though.
Well we are off to Red Fish Lake next week I'm sure we will have lots of pictures and stories to tell.

We Have a Visitor
This little duck has been hanging out in our courtyard for the past 3 days. He looks like he has a hurt beak so I feel bad for him. He dosen't seem to mind us, even when Braiden gives him a shower with the hose. We filled up a five gallon bucket with water and he gets drinks from it and occasionally he will hop in and take a swim. I have given him plenty of time to leave, so tonight we are going to try and catch him and take him back down to the river. I'm sure he will be grateful in the end.
We had a fun fourth, Nate walked in the parade and passed out frisbees with his name on them, it is a good form of advertisement! After the parade we went to Grandma Douglass' for a yummy picnic, then we went boating. I tried to wake board but I could never get up, a girl can only handle so many face plants. Nate says that he is not going to let me give up so we'll see if I can ever do this. Later that night we went up to Albion for thier fireworks show which is fairly decent concidering the fact that the population of Albion is about 300. Thier fireworks were nicely coreographed to the smell of skunk and the bite of mosquito :) I was glad Hudson was asleep in the car the whole time.
Braiden has been doing swimming lessons and he passed level 3 so he will start level 4 on Monday. Brody is finally tall enough to start level 1 and boy is he excited, we are counting down the days. He has been so nice and patient waiting 45 min every day for Braiden. I'm glad he finally gets to do something, he deserves it!!
