Mr. Mischievous!
Well it's time to baby proof my house again!! It seems like it goes in stages from really baby proof, to kinda baby proof, to not so baby proof. You know, as they grow older and become less interested in the things that are down low. Hudson officially learned to crawl last Thursday and now he is all over the house, opening cupboards and drawers:

Playing with the night light:

This was a scary one, what is so intriguing about outlets anyway??? After that I had to go find all of my outlet covers packed away in some random box in the garage.
The boys love it (j/k) when Hudson plays with the DVD player while they are watching a movie. He will crank the volume, or switch disks on them (with the changer) I hear, "HUDSON! ... MOM!"

Oh, and he loves to crawl over to the patio door and bang the blinds against the door. They make all sorts of noise you know.

So now my blinds are constantly raised 2 feet out of his reach. Tipping over garbage cans to investigate the contents. OH and I could go on. Those are just a few of his favorites.
Oh and did I mention that he cut his first tooth the same day he learned to crawl??

He is getting so big. When Hudson hears the bath water he gets very excited, but when he finds out it's not for him...mmmm, not so excited. For some strange reason he throws a fit every time you put him in his highchair. Doesn't he realize that this is the place where you get food?? If he's smart enough to recognize the sound of the bath tub, you'd think he'd recognize the food chair?? You'd think.
Hudson loves to give hugs, and he actually wraps his little arms around your neck and squeezes, those are my favorite! Despite all of his little "adventures" I love, love, love to watch him grow and I was so excited when he finally crawled!

Sorry!
I have to apologize, I'm just the most unsettled person when it comes to my blog backgrounds. I see a cute one and have to change it. I haven't had a cutest blog on the block background since the beginning of time. Let me just say I LOVE Leelou blogs but the cutest blog background was SO easy to change. With LeeLou I usually loose some of my sidebar elements, but I know which ones I will loose so I save them before. Also all of your sidebar elements get rearranged so you have to go through and move everything back. Yay Cutest Blog on the Block!!!

It's Beginning to Look Alot Like...Christmas????
Wait it's not even Halloween yet.
On Saturday morning Brody comes running into our room, "Mom, Dad it's Christmas, we forgot to buy a tree!!" We were a little confused then he opened the blinds What? Snow? On Daddy's birthday!!!

Needless to say we had to dig out all of the snow clothes so the boys could go play in it. It's crazy to me that kids don't mind the cold at all. I guess I was that way once. Still snowing.

This dosen't seem right. Still snowing.

So after Nate finished shoveling snow ON his birthday. (I bet that was a first.) We all piled in the car and went to the matinee "The Express" Awesome movie by the way. It was one of those that made you want to stand up and cheer one minute and then sit down and cry the next. I give it a two thumbs UP!! We get out of the movie, still snowing.
Go to Nate's Grandmas to watch the BYU game. BYU wins, good birthday present!! Still Snowing.
Try to go to the store to rent a movie, power is out!! So much for that idea. Still snowing!
Go to bed, still snowing!
The next morning:
Finally done 15 inches on top of our car!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATE!!! That will be one to remember.

Who Knew???
Who knew DIRT could smell SO good?!?!?! It's potato harvest time, I love this time of year. I took the boys out to my mom and dad's to watch the potatoes come in from the field. Braiden even got to help grandpa run the piler, and scrape the dirt out of the cellar with the tractor.

When Brody walked in and saw all those potatoes he said, "holy cow!!" We haven't been around the last couple of harvests so I think this is the first one he has seen or remembers seeing. I have one picture of him when he was Hudson's age, we came back from Omaha during Fall Break one year.
Then:

Now:

This is Hudson in the noisy cellar:

Atticus likes to eat the potatoes...weird dog!

When I was younger my mom used to drive truck in harvest, so when we would get home from school my brothers had free reign to torture me, my mom wasn't there to save me :( I can remember some pretty big fights with my brothers one involving a broken window, but I won't get into that now, Love ya Casey!! I can look back now and laugh. Good times! Potato harvest was a part of my life growing up, I'm so glad I can now share it with my own children.

Little League Flag Football
Braiden has been playing little league flag football for the past couple of weeks and last night I finally remembered to bring my camera. He loves playing and the games are actually quite entertaining!!! It is amazing how much the kids have learned about football in just a few short weeks, the first game was REALLY entertaining. It was freezing cold last night so after the game we had to jump in the car and blast the heat. But hey, cold and football, those two things just belong together don't they?

Look at those cute little rosy cheeks!!

Oh Man!!
I try so hard to take cute pictures of my kids. Hudson just loves the camera so, no problem there. The other two were outside playing and I called them over to take pictures, as you can see they weren't so happy about it. Between my uncooperative camera and my uncooperative kids my chances aren't very good!

So after that I gave up and let them go back to their business, and the happiness was once again restored. Uh well maybe another day.

Cousins

Over the weekend we got to hang out with all of our family. It was so much fun, we were able to take an updated picture with all of the cousins oldest to youngest: Regan, Ethan, Braiden, Kailey, Emily, Brody, Bella, Ashlyn, Lillian and Hudson
Maybe I'm partial but I think that I have the cutest nieces on the face of this earth!! So here they are.
Kailey, Emily and Ashlyn:

Lillian:

Regan and Bella:

Here is a picture of Bella's owie a couple of weekends ago she was jumping on the trampoline and broke her little arm. Luckily it wasn't a very bad break.
Between mine and Nate's families I have 8 nieces and only 1 nephew (we have all the boys) so here's to my one and only nephew I love ya buddy (you're cute too!) Nate's brother Jacob and his wife Natalie are expecting a baby boy in late Dec yeah!
Kids are very creative. I took everybody over to our house that we are building, and while we were walking around inside they were outside building a fort out of some scrap pieces. Kailey was in charge of the garden. Ethan and Braiden were putting the roof on. Here is Brody and Bella sitting at the "table"
Sadly this is all I got before my camera batteries died.
It was a bit rainy that day and the ground is 100% sand, so the kids were nice and dirty by the time we left.
