Well I'm back and I have alot of catching up to do!! Where shall I begin? Sorry I have been gone so long but with a move half way accross the country, finding a place to live, and getting settled, and then finally getting the Internet, things take awhile. On May 9th was the Awards Ceremony and the Hooding Ceremony Nate received the Brassler USA Excellence in Endodontics Award along with a $500 gift certificate for Brassler products. (Brassler is a dental supply company) we were pleasantly surprised and proud of Nate for receiving this award. The instructors at the school want to turn Nate into an Endodontist, however, I think he is happy just being really good at doing root canals.
I realized a little bit to late that maybe that I should have invested in a new camera for these special events because the pictures I got were crap. Hooding Ceremony was amazing I have never been so proud of someone in my whole life. (I'm a horrible person, and I'll be the first to admit it.) I was a really good day. After hooding there was a reception at the dental school, it was nice, and we got to say our final good buys to the dental clinic. We celebrated the evening by going out to eat at Kobe Steakhouse (a Japanese tepanyaki grill) I think we went there for every special occasion while we were in Omaha. It is SO yummy and very fun! The next day commencement was held at the Qwest Center. When it was all said and done, the school of dentistry went a little crazy with the silly string. Everyone in their class had two cans of it, and it was like a cloud over their heads. They were going crazy, while all of the other health professions were sitting there all prim and proper. Some people will never grow up, but that's OK, it keeps life interesting.
The next day was Mothers Day and it wasn't such a happy one. Brody had the stomach flu and I felt a little under the weather myself. Little did we know that we would all catch it before it was all said and done (Grandma, Grandpa, and Cara included!) Monday the 12th was moving day, we got the moving truck and loaded up our stuff. I kept walking around our empty house, Nate finally had to shoo me out, I guess I just didn't want to leave. When we finally headed out I bawled, but only for a short time, because I had to drive the car! We spent the rest of that day driving and the next day. When we got home Nate went and found us a place to live temporarily and we moved our stuff in on the 15th. We are renting a duplex in Burley I am finding that it is not fun going from a homeowner back to a renter. Although there is plenty of space inside and LOTS of grass to play on outside. The new ward is really different from our old ward, it will take alot of getting used to (we miss the Elkhorn Ward desperately) It didn't take them long to ask us to speak in church our first Sunday there was the 18th and they came by on the 19th and asked us to speak! Well I guess you know it's coming, so you might as well get it over with right?
Nate has been busy over at the dental office giving it a bit of a face lift, he will be getting all new equipment in a couple weeks, so until then we are working on the cosmetic details. We will have to post pictures later.
Hudson learned to roll over on the 17th we were busy bringing boxes in the house and we found him on his tummy. Now he does it all the time. I guess if that's all you knew how to do you would do it all the time too!! The only problem is that he doesn't know how to roll back over and so he gets mad after about 1 minute, so I roll him onto his back and he immediately rolls onto his tummy again, silly boy!!
Braiden and Brody are adjusting well (I guess) Braiden is happy to be by the Grandmas and Grandpas, and Brody keeps wanting to go back to "our other house." We live a couple houses down from my grandma so the boys like to go over and visit her, and she really enjoys that!
I am totally homesick for Omaha and all of our friends, we miss you!! Well I will put you out of your misery and quit now, I am glad to be back to blogging I have missed it.
